My dog seems to like it, but it also seems to give him diarrhea. He typically doesn’t like salmon, but he does like the oil so I’m not exactly sure if that’s what’s giving him diarrhea or if something else is but he does like it. I don’t give it to him every day.

My pit bull puppy has dry skin and some skin allergies. I’m giving a bit more info than necessary to hopefully help out new blue pit parents. I’ve always fed her purina salmon based skin sensitive food. We discovered pretty quickly that she is very allergic to fleas. After a vet visit for higher quality flea preventative and some steroids to help with short term itching she was no longer actively in an allergy response. However, her skin was really dry and hair regrowth was taking a long time. I tried topical solutions and they made her skin and hair gunky and encouraged her to lick the areas more. This salmon supplement is excellent! She loved the taste added to her dry food AND her skin is moisturized and her hair has grown back so quickly! Within about 2 weeks I could see a big difference. She is no longer biting and her skin or scratching. I like that it’s salmon based (one of her litter mates is allergic to chicken so we’ve avoided chicken products altogether), easy to dispense, and isn’t overwhelmingly smelly (there definitely is a light fish smell though). With the upcoming flea season I do anticipate having at least one flare up this summer, but am thankful to know that this oil will at least help her skin heal quickly and feel less itchy. It seems like a lot but each pump is very little. We are still on the first bottle after a month and it works very well. Super high quality.

My dog has severe pollen allergies. She developed another problem on top of that, that of a yeast overgrowth on top of the first issue. She had massive flakes of yuck on her back, very itchy. The vet wanted to give her cortisone shots, etc. But that had side-effects. Since I used to work in the health food industry, I decided to try the same things for my dog that I would do for a person, with some research of course. One of the things was wild caught salmon oil. I have several Gorilla Dog Bed Products and have been happy with the quality and that they make their products in the USA. So I decided to give their salmon oil a try. I could not be happier. I noticed a difference in her coat in 3 days and within two weeks her skin issue were gone. Thank you for saving me big bucks at the vets office.
