Gorilla Tough Orthopedic Dog Crate Pad ( Army Tough Fabric!)
If your dog spends any time in a crate – and especially if they spend lots of time in there – your choice of crate pad becomes an investment of critical importance to both you and your dog.
Our Cordura® kennel and crate pads are extremely tough and have a proprietary backed coating which makes them water-resistant and great for outdoor use. The US armed forces use Cordura® in many different applications primarily because of its extreme durability, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
We manufacture these using a military-grade Velcro enclosure on the underside as well as a 268lb pull-strength zipper that keeps your dog from penetrating the foam. All our seams are triple-stitched to ensure the toughest kennel pad on the market. We also included a tie-down system that keeps your dog from flipping the pad over inside the kennel. All our crate and kennel pads come with a waterproof liner that is the best in the industry. Most messes and dirt can be wiped down with a damp cloth, but the cover and liner can also be washed when necessary. The foam pad is not washable.

Washing & Maintenance Instructions
All Gorilla Dog Bed covers, kennel covers, and liners are machine washable. Our nesting poly-fill mattresses are also washable, but all our foam mattresses and crate pads are NOT. Orthopedic mattresses should be exposed to fresh air when needed. Our covers and liners should be washed separately and not with other laundry. Close the Velcro cover completely before washing. Wash in cold water and a delicate cycle. Liners should be washed unzipped and open to allow air to escape. We do not recommend heat drying for any of our products. Air drying will ensure the longevity of the covers and liners. For easy cleaning and spot treatment, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe off stains, dirt, or hair. An upholstery attachment for your vacuum can also be used.

I have two 9 month old yellow labs and have had two of the crate pads since October. They have been washed multiple times and my destructive pups have not put a scratch on them. UNTIL I got lazy and stopped strapping them down. One of my pups got sick, started licking the corner, and managed to chew through the corner over night. I’m so upset with MYSELF! But I’m ordering a replacement because I know how great they are and really hold up. The torn one will become an outdoor resting spot and the replacement will be strapped down again!

Our dog sleeps in her crate at night no problem, but she sometimes gets a bit bored when we crate her during the day, and she started chewing up her blanket. Now we put a Gorilla crate pad in the crate, and no loose threads to pull on during the day! It is a bit loud when she moves around on it at night, but since she doesn’t chew on the blanket at night, we leave it covering the bed. Seems to work great, and some mornings she doesn’t even want to come out when we open the door, so it must be real comfy!

We love our new crate pad! Our puppy chews everything which led to health scares and expensive vet visits. We were glad to find something he can’t chew up and ingest. I did not measure the crate, but ordered the medium size as our crate was a “medium” crate. The crate pad was too large, but we were so excited with it that we just upgraded the crate as well. (It was getting a little small for our growing pup!)

I think I’ve found the truly indestructible kennel bed! Very well made & it fits perfectly. It is also entertaining for the pups. They love to scratch their claws on the bed to hear the sound the fabric makes! Great product!

We bought 2 of the crate pads 2 years ago. We have been very pleased with them. The dogs scratch on them and the pads have stood the test of time. Very easy to care for. We will definitely buy more when these wear out, but that doesn’t look like anytime soon.

Product has stayed intact and hasn’t ripped. I do agree with the reviewer that said when they scratch on it, it’s loud but not sure one can expect otherwise if you’re working with materials that won’t rip…Sort of the same issue with medium and heavy weight horse blankets I’m giving it some more time to rate as 5 stars but think we’re close. A little on the expensive side. My horse blankets cost less and they’re bigger and use the same type material.

We have an 11 month old locator. Three beds and several towels later we finally have peace. Our dog loves this bed!! It must be very comfortable. She laid down right away and never has tried to chew it. We are so thankful. We highly recommend it!! One thing we did do is this. We rubbed our hands all over the cover to put our scent on it. This was recommended on another website.
