Ultra Vel™ Tough Orthopedic Dog Crate Pad Featuring Cordura®
Ultra Vel Tough Orthopedic Dog Crate pad Featuring Cordura® offers uncompromising luxury and outstanding performance. These feature an incredibly soft, breathable, and extremely comfortable top cover. The sides and bottom portions are composed of Cordura® fabric which is commonly used in military applications for its durability and puncture resistance. This pad is rugged and durable on one hand, and comfortable and soft on the other. We also included a tie-down system that keeps your dog from flipping the pad over inside the kennel. Ultra Vel Cordura® crate and kennel pads are composed of an all-American-made 2.5″ certified foam that gently conforms to your dog’s shape while supporting your dog in the most comfortable way possible. We manufacture these using a military-grade Velcro enclosure on the underside as well as a 268lb pull-strength zipper that keeps your dog from penetrating the foam. These are manufactured with triple stitched seams making them as strong as possible while offering the most comfortable resting surface for your dog.
These are durable, easy to clean, and are treated to be resistant to odor, mildew, and bacteria. Additionally, our entire line of Ultra Vel Kennel and crate pads come with a heavy-duty water-resistant liner which is the best in the industry.

Washing & Maintenance Instructions
All Gorilla Dog Bed covers, kennel covers, and liners are machine washable. Our nesting poly-fill mattresses are also washable, but all our foam mattresses and crate pads are NOT. Orthopedic mattresses should be exposed to fresh air when needed. Our covers and liners should be washed separately and not with other laundry. Close the Velcro cover completely before washing. Wash in cold water and a delicate cycle. Liners should be washed unzipped and open to allow air to escape. We do not recommend heat drying for any of our products. Air drying will ensure the longevity of the covers and liners. For easy cleaning and spot treatment, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe off stains, dirt, or hair. An upholstery attachment for your vacuum can also be used.

Have had the bed for a few weeks now and, first off, it feels pretty comfortable, and takes up the entirety of my pup’s kennel size; so no flipping it to chew on it, and it provides her with great support. Also, speaking of chewing, my voracious little chewer hasn’t once tried to chew/destroy this mat (vs. her original that basically became her additional kennel toy). I’ve also washed the cover twice and no color runs, shrinkage or any other issues. I was initially hesitant about spending the cost of the bed; but seeing its durability first-hand, I’m pretty pleased with the purchase.

Dogs like the padding, it is more than the typical crate pad we usually buy and they destroy in a week. These beds have not had any digging or chewing from either dog, as I think the tighter/tougher material is not as conducive to chewing. Very satisfied.

We have a 4 yo American Pointer who absolutely DESTROYS anything in front of her. We had already gone through at least 10 different dog beds/pads, etc and had thought our girl was destined to spend every night on the cold plastic tray on the bottom of her crate. I saw this one and talked my husband into trying ONE more. The sides and bottom are made of indestructible camo material. Military grade. The zipper was double hidden and I could tell she’d never find it. The top felt like soft suede and I was completely skeptical. Surprisingly, although she has tried her best by biting, knawing and scratching the pad, she has not been able to damage it one bit. HOWEVER, there was one flaw (I was able to create a workaround). The straps that keep it secured to the bottom of the cage have plastic buckles. It only took her 5 minutes to break them off. Fortunately, the pad came with extra straps and I secured them on the. bottom, where she can’t see the buckles. She’s been sleeping in peaceful bliss since. THANK YOU Gorilla Dogs! I do suggest that you upgrade your buckles to steel/metal though.

Our Rhodesian Ridgeback loves the bed so far or at least I think he does. He will sometimes choose laying in his crate on his kennel pad vs getting up on our bed which to me is a really good sign. It’s only been about a month and no signs of trying to rip it to pieces just yet. The Velcro straps that secure it kennel pad is quite genius and I think that will be what keeps him from being able to attempt to destroy it because it doesn’t move and can’t pull the corners up if that makes sense. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who has been searching and searching for a durable, high quality, cozy dog bed!
